Thank you for your interest in my stencil portraits, I’m sorry to say that I can no longer take on any more portrait commissions at this time.

After 5 years of doing portrait commissions pretty much full time, I could feel myself getting burnt out, so rather than continue on, I have listened to that little voice inside and giving myself some time to play and explore new areas in my art practice.

Stencil Portraits first began in October 2011 when I playfully created a stencil portrait of my sister and her rabbit for her 30th birthday, of course at the time I had no idea it would turn into a business where I averaged 2 portraits a week, that’s about 425 portraits – phew! Its been a real learning curve both for me as an artist and as a business owner. My customers have taught me many valuable lessons, and for that I am forever grateful. I have always strived to provide the best customer service, with my mission to bring joy into people’s lives through making beautiful and timeless portraits of their loved ones. When I received heartfelt messages of thanks, I felt motivated and reassured that as a humble artist, I can still make a small difference in this world.

However, 5 years is a long time for an artist to be doing the same thing, and so for now at least I am taking an extended break.

I’d like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of the awesome people who have commissioned me to do their portraits. I hope they are still giving you joy and love in your home or wherever they may be displayed.
